Working to strengthen the charity sector for Canadians
Working to strengthen the charity sector for Canadians
Both programs have triggered (and continue to encourage) tens of millions of additional donation dollars (and other acts of generosity) in Canada, annually.
However, more recently, we have increased our focus on advocacy and systemic policy improvements for the charitable sector, and for the millions of Canadians in need who rely on charitable services.
We believe that many systemic changes are overdue. Our current ecosystem is not working well for Canadians in need, our environment, better equality, the animal kingdom, and so much more. We need to force a required change. A few new policies can start to drive significant benefits for the charitable sector, to the magnitude of billions of additional dollars for so many worthy charitable causes.
“Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”
We need to change if the charity sector is to better address lingering problems, to reverse the growing “charity gap” in Canada, and to better support the many Canadians and causes in need.
